What is Connect and How to Use it to 100 %?
In today's article, we'll take a look at an important part of BOOM Events: the Connect page. You'll learn where to find it, how to use it to increase sales and what alternatives there are to raise your ticket pre-sale. So let's get right to it, shall we?
What is Connect?
This is your own page where visitors can see all the events you want to show them. These are both past and present events and visitors can go through them easily. They are sorted by date, with the most recent ones automatically showing up at the top. Events that have already ended are after the active ones and are visibly marked
so that it's immediately clear that they're over.

Past events are in grey colours to be more distinguishable from the ones in the sale.
Where can I find it and how do I add my events to it?
You can access your Connect from the main page of your Workspace by clicking the Enter my Connect website button in the top right corner. This way, you can see right away what your Connect looks like and how your visitors will see it.
If you want your event to be visible on Connect, click the Publish button when creating or editing an event and it will automatically appear on Connect.
It is of course possible to create a "private" event that you do not want to publish on your Connect. The event is already created if you click on the Create Event button during creation. If you do not click on Publish Event in the upper right corner, it will not appear on Connect.
What are the benefits of the Connect page?
There are a few. Can you find one that works for you too?
Your own webpage
Creating and maintaining your own website is time and money-consuming work. If you don't have the capacity, Connect should be more than enough. At the top, visitors will see your organization's name and icons for sharing the entire site. So you can show all your events here and the visitors will get a good idea of the type of events you organize. And then they can choose which event is right for them (preferably all of them, right?).
Easy sharing
As we wrote in the previous paragraph, to share an entire page, click on one of the icons at the top of the Connect (or copy the link directly from the URL address line) and you can share all your events with your fans right away. So you don't have to overwhelm them with a bunch of links, just use one.
Automatic and free of charge
You don't need to activate anything to enjoy the benefits of Connect. With the publication of your first event, it will automatically be created for you. And the fact that it is (and will be) free is an added bonus.
Future customization
We are working on it so you can customize your Connect as you like: add a logo, and customize colors and font. It's important to build your own brand so that your fans recognize you right away and fall in love with your events in the blink of an eye.
What are the alternatives to Connect?
While Connect has many benefits, it may not be right for you and your events. Of course, we have alternatives for larger and less frequent event organizers.
Individual event detail

You can share just one event instead of the entire Connect. It too contains icons to share with your audience. This event detail contains more information that you can easily pass on to your visitors. We recommend adding a suitable photo, catchy text, and all your contact information.
Widget for your website
If you have your own website where you regularly inform your fans about your events and want to offer them the opportunity to buy tickets in a few clicks, a widget is a great way to give them that. It is actually an order form where the visitor sees your tickets and can easily buy them there without leaving your site.

You can create a widget in Workspace → Customization. Select the event you want to create the widget for, choose a color palette, and use the Generate code button to get the HTML code. Paste it into your site where you need it and check that it displays correctly.
Custom event calendar
We are able to make you a personalized calendar of events directly for your website. There, the visitor can select the individual event, its date, and with it the time slots of arrival. Again, this will make it easier for people to buy tickets and therefore you will lose less of them in the buying process.
The calendar is a great thing for organizers who work with multiple event dates and time slots, such as theme parks, escape rooms, zoos, and castles as well as museums and galleries.
